Azerbaijan Airlines plane attacked by Russian Pantsir-S air defense systems while approaching Grozny: Apa.az, News24.az, e-huquq.az, BakuTV

According to Azerbaijani media, yesterday an Azerbaijan Airlines plane flying from Baku to Grozny was attacked while approaching Grozny. According to preliminary results of the investigation, the attack was carried out using the Russian Pantsir-S air defense system.

As reported by News24.az, as a result of the work of Russian electronic warfare systems, communication with the Azerbaijani aircraft was completely paralyzed. This explains its disappearance from radar in Russian aviation space, and its reappearance was recorded only in the Caspian Sea area.

The head of the Security Council of the Chechen Republic, Khamzat Kadyrov, confirmed the fact drone attacks in Grozny on December 25 in the morning, while emphasizing that there were no casualties or destruction. In this regard, the Russian side decided to close its airspace to civilian aircraft.
