Revolt Voice Chat: How to Give Microphone Permission?

To grant permission to use your microphone in voice chat on the Revolt platform, follow these steps:

1. Check your browser settings:

If you are using Revolt in a browser, you will need to grant permission for the browser to use your microphone. Here's how to do it:

Google Chrome:

• Open Revolt and click the lock or warning icon next to the address bar.
• In the drop-down menu, find the "Microphone" option.
• Select "Allow" to grant access to the microphone.
• Refresh the page after making changes.

Mozilla Firefox:

• The first time you are prompted to use the microphone, Firefox will ask if you want to allow access. Click "Allow".
• To set this up manually: Click the lock icon next to the URL → select "Permissions" → find "Use Microphone" and select "Allow".

Microsoft Edge:

• Open Revolt and click the lock icon in the address bar.
• Find "Microphone" and set the permission to "Allow".

2. Check your system preferences (Windows/Mac):

Make sure that the operating system itself also allows the application to access the microphone.

Windows 10/11:

3. Microphone settings in Revolt:

• Go to "User Settings".
• Select the "Audio" or "Voice" section.
• Make sure the correct microphone is selected and the volume level is set correctly.

Once you have completed these steps, you should be successfully connected to a microphone-enabled voice chat on Revolt platform.
